Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Manage site wise uptime (for allocated sites) and compare with SLAs defined in the Master Sales Agreement (MSA) and Process Review Document (PRD). Take necessary steps to drive improvements in uptime, in case of deviations from SLAs. Ensure that all necessary sign offs from customers regarding uptime, penalty computation, etc. are received in a timely manner
  • Periodically monitor the condition of site infrastructure (for allocated sites) and drive necessary corrective action in case of any deviation from necessary requirements
  • Review the consolidated opex costs on a periodic basis, check deviations from the budgeted cost targets and take corrective action to drive cost savings at the assigned tower sites. Review the consolidated amounts billed by key vendors, ensure that the team has carried out necessary confirmations and liase with vendors in case of escalation of issues / concerns
  • Engage with key customers for the assigned towers on a periodic basis. Manage escalations on a need basis
  • Engage with senior stakeholders at Law Enforcement Agencies and State Electricity Boards, in case of escalations to ensure smooth operations of the assigned tower sites

Functional / Technical / Process

 

Site Uptime Tracking

  • Review site wise uptime for the assigned tower sites on a periodic basis. Ensure that uptime is greater than predefined tolerances as per the Master Sales Agreement (MSA) and Process Review Document (PRD). In case of deviations, seek the root cause analysis from Cluster Engineers and drive corrective action
  • Ensure that the team receives sign off from the customer regarding uptime (as per SLAs), penalty computation, etc. in a timely manner

 

Site Infrastructure Monitoring

  • Review the condition of site infrastructure on a periodic basis.
  • In case of deviations from the infrastructure requirements (as agreed in the MSA and PRD), take necessary corrective action, where required.
  • Ensure that preventive maintenance and audits are carried out within the assigned sites as per schedule

Engagement with Law Enforcement Authorities and Electricity Boards

  • Engage with senior stakeholders at Law Enforcement Agencies in case of escalations with regards to any theft, damage, etc. at sites in the area
  • Engage with senior stakeholders at State Electricity Boards in case of escalations to ensure strong electricity availability. Resolve issues with the Electricity Boards, as per requirements

 

Customer

  • Customer Escalation Management
  • Engage with key customers on a periodic basis to understand issues faced, requirements, etc. and resolve within predefined SLAs. Share requirements with the sales team, as per requirements
  • Manage escalations with key customers, as per requirements

 

Financial

  • Opex Tracking
  • Liase with P&F vendors, State Electricity Boards, etc. in case of escalation of issues
  • Track the opex costs for the relevant sites on a periodic basis. Compare the costs against budgeted estimates
  • In case of deviations, identify corrective steps and drive interventions to control costs
  • Ensure that the electricity and P&F costs billed, outage reports, etc. are verified by the team to ensure correct computation of key opex payments

 

People

  • People Management and Development
  • Allocate responsibilities to the members within team, supervise performance, resolve grievances, counsel and mentor team members
  • Lead and provide guidance to direct reports
  • Ensure the timely completion of performance appraisals with quality review and inputs from Managers in order to increase the capability and morale of the team to deliver goals
  • Support in recruitment related activities to meet the manpower needs of the business

 

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Network uptime against SLAs
  • P&F cost against target
  • Electricity availability as per SLAs
  • Adherence to preventive maintenance schedules
  • Adherence to audit/monitoring schedules
  • Turnaround time for resolution of customer complaints

Required Candidate profile

Prior experience in telecom passive infrastructure is a must.
